NICE TO MEET YOU

I'm Josh.

I'm a designer and a tinkerer. By day, I am a Senior Product Owner for Autodesk, making software for people who make things. I also have experience in architectural and industrial design. I live in Denver, Colorado with my talented wife, Haley.

Find out more about me below. You can also contact me.

Architectural Design, History, and Software

Growing up near Denver, I witnessed vast changes to the metro area's urban character and retail landscape, igniting a passion for architectural design and urban planning. In high school, research and persistence led me to an internship with a Colorado real estate developer, where for two years I helped transform the former Southglenn Mall into a vibrant mixed-use town center for for the City of Centennial, Colorado.

In design school, I created award-winning designs spanning architecture, planning, and furniture. I received my Master of Architecture degree at Kansas State University in 2013.

I was previously an Associate at a world-class design firm where I worked on creating buildings and places that people love to be in. I now work at Autodesk as a Senior Product Owner, where I design, develop, and test powerful architectural modeling software, enabling designers to do great things, easier.

Industrial Design and Prototyping

In my free time, I design 3D-printed products for home and office under the label Parametrix3D.  The products were sold at the I Heart Denver store from 2014 to 2017 and are still available available for digital download at CGTrader.  Every design is scripted using parametric software. Parametric design allows creation of complex patterns and accurate assemblies through math and algorithms in a script.

Visit the Parametrix3D website for more projects and information.

Some projects may have been completed while employed by or in collaboration with various organizations, consultants, or designers.
